The theme for this project was "Blank Canvas". I used handmade, vintage hankies and doll dresses to symbolize my ideas of a soft femininity. Heavily inspired by dance and movement; I created an interesting silhouette that gives freedom to run, dance, leap over puddles, jump the turnstiles, sit in chairs, and truly live.
The vulnerability of wearing sheer white fabric is challenged by these strong symbols of embracive, freeing movement-- yet the beauty is within the balance.
Freedom in movement, confident vulnerability, and being fearlessly vulnerable are all juxtaposed in this piece. What occurs within the juxtaposition is where my purpose lies.

Top and pant made entirely of square shapes. Sought to explore the relationship between geometrical shapes, the body, and the ways we can morph something that seems so rigid and definitive into something soft and malleable that moves along with us.
